Pyrolysis Reactor

Pyrolysis reactor is the core equipment of batch pyrolysis plant. Waste tyre or plastic materials are heated and decomposed in an oxygen-free or low-oxygen environment. The pyrolysis reactor is usually made of high-temperature resistant materials and is equipped with a heating device (such as electric heating, gas heating).

Heating system provides the heat required for pyrolysis, which can be heated by electric heating, gas heating or using the syngas generated by pyrolysis.

Condensation system is used to cool the oil and gas mixture generated by pyrolysis and condense it into liquid pyrolysis oil. Usually includes a condenser and a cooling tower.

Gas purification system purifies the combustible gas generated by pyrolysis to remove impurities and harmful substances. It includes an unique flue gas purification system.

Discharging system is used to collect solid residues (such as carbon black) after pyrolysis. Usually includes a screw discharger and a collection bin.

Control system is an automated control system used to monitor and adjust parameters such as temperature, pressure, and feeding speed.

How Does Batch Pyrolysis Plant Work

  1. Feeding: Whole tires or packaged plastics are fed into the pyrolysis reactor through the feeding system.
  2. Heating and pyrolysis: The pyrolysis reactor is heated to the set temperature (usually 300-600℃), and the material is decomposed in an oxygen-free environment to produce an oil-gas mixture and solid residue.
  3. Oil-gas separation: The oil-gas mixture enters the condensation system and is separated into liquid pyrolysis oil and syngas after cooling.
  4. Gas purification: After the combustible gas is treated by the flue gas purification system, it can be used to heat the reactor or as an energy output.
  5. Discharging: The solid residue (carbon black) is discharged through the discharging system and can be used for further processing.
  6. Circulation and monitoring: The CNC control system monitors the parameters of each link in real time to ensure safe and efficient operation.
