In August 2021, Mingjie Group completed the installation of a fully automatic pyrolysis plant for sale in Bohai, China. The fully automatic pyrolysis plant can work continuously all day long. Its feeding system, pyrolysis system, and slag discharging system can work continuously for a month without stopping. No need to stop the reactor to cool down.

For continuous pyrolysis plant, waste tires and plastics should be as clean as possible, and the feed size should reach 5-8mm. Tires should be crushed into 5mm rubber powder and all steel wires should be removed to ensure smooth feeding and discharging.
How to Choose Pyrolysis Plants for Waste Recycling
Whether continuous or batch pyrolysis plant, their pyrolysis technology and purpose are the same. They convert solid waste into fuel oil, carbon black and combustible gas in an oxygen-free, high-temperature environment. But their working process and raw material feed requirements are different.

Mode | Fully Automatic Pyrolysis Plant | Batch Pyrolysis Plant |
Processing scale | 15-40T/D | 1-15T/D |
Product consistency | High(CV<5%) | Medium(CV 10-15%) |
Energy efficiency | 85-90% | 60-70% |
Investment cost | High | Low |
Maintenance cost ratio | 15-20% | 5-10% |
Feed size | 5-8mm | Without shreedding |
Difference between Batch and Fully Automatic Pyrolysis Plant

Equipment Structure and Operation Mode
The fully automatic tyre pyrolysis plant is designed to continuously feed and discharge materials, while batch pyrolysis equipment is processed in batches. This affects production efficiency and automation.
Continuous pyrolysis plant is more suitable for large-scale production, while batch pyrolysis plant is suitable for small-scale or flexible scenarios.
Different Processing Capacity
The fully automatic pyrolysis plant usually has a larger processing capacity because they can run 24 hours a day. The batch pyrolysis plants need to stop for loading and unloading of materials, resulting in lower production efficiency.
Temperature Control and Reaction Stability
Fully continuous pyrolysis plant has more stable temperature and reaction conditions because of continuous feeding and slag discharge. Batch pyrolysis equipment need to readjust the temperature after each feeding, resulting in differences between batches. This may affect the difference in the final product.
Different Energy Consumption
Continuous pyrolysis equipment may be more efficient because it takes less time to preheat and maintain temperature. The batch pyrolysis equipment may consume more energy each time it starts and stops. But if it is a small-scale production, a batch pyrolysis plant may be more energy-efficient because it does not need to be run continuously.
Different Maintenance and Operation Costs
Continuous pyrolysis machine may be more complex and have high maintenance costs. However, it has a high degree of automation and requires less manpower. The batch equipment has a simple structure and is easy to maintain. However, it requires more manual operation and may be suitable for situations with limited budgets.
